So I have mixed feelings. I couldn't put this book down, until I got to the plot twist. I dont understand how an author of this level (she's not some local, unknown person or high school student writing for her lit class) can write something that makes absolutely NO sense. Was the plot twist shocking? Yes. And it wasn't even far-fetched...it just literally didn't fit with any of the previously provided information! I'd like to provide a review without spoilers in case you decide to waste your time reading it anyway, but I dont understand how this one got published when it literally contradicts itself. It's like McFadden was so hung up on hiding the plot twist, that she didn't care that she was writing a ton of things that later would make you at first feel like you missed something, but then realize that no, your reading comprehension is just fine, it's McFadden's writing that's the problem. I didn't expect to be disappointed because I enjoyed other books of hers. I like how she writes from different POVs, and always provides a good twist, but I prefer when the twist actually makes sense! I was left with my jaw hanging, but for the wrong reasons.
