I could understand why others are rating the movie a one star, clearly. I think the writer and directors put their all into this masterpiece. While the end is a complete opposite from the regular happy ending movies, I think not every story should have a happy ending. What’s common about every 1or2 stars ratings is, they all want karma to serve Javier for all his evil deeds, but unfortunately, even in real life, people get away with evil deeds, maybe karma snoozed on Javier, unfortunately for all his victims (with the exception of the gardener, that sick son of a gun got all he deserved). One last thing, I think the only thing they should have done differently is the title of the movie, “The Occupant” really doesn’t aligned well with the story. I think it should’ve been titled: “THE PERFECT CRIME” But overall, I love the movie!!!
