Not only is this game a classic callback to prior games in the series, but also includes both an helpful instant encyclopaedia, and a picture book recap, super helpful for those who aren’t in the know! Great for both long time fans and newcomers alike!

My favourite part of the Paper Mario games is how all the characters are self aware that they’re made of paper, and how they even use that feature by stacking up, or how they crumple and crease when hit. It adds a unique dimension of “reality” to this game. The fact that the theme of this game is origami shows the applications of folding paper, not to mention that in this game, bowser is more of a victim than an antagonist, which is hilarious.
