This is a deplorable movie. It starts off fantastic, with good actors, a really nice and warm story. However, near the tail end of the movie. The woman begins to get feelings while on the search for her mother, and cheats on her fiancé, having a one night stand, then essentially decides to go back to her fiancé without any consequence to her action, and somehow we’re supposed to feel good about disloyalty. This is a very bad message for children, and especially young women, that they can act based on their feelings without any consequences to their actions, especially who they hurt along the way. She breaks the trust of her fiancé, breaks the heart of the main character, but somehow, all of that is OK because she found meaning in her life, and found her mother and we’re supposed to feel good about that.
I’ll be keeping my daughters far away from this movie. I don’t want them to learn they can prioritize their own selfishness without consequence
