If ever a movie deserved a 5 star rating, then this is the one!. The story line was much sought after and you can see why! From start to finish its captivating. The cast , Robert Redford who plays a youthful,exuberant happy to lucky jack the lad, the a lister Paul Newman, even his voice is a list! ,but the villain played by the irrepressible Robert shaw shows exceptional casting , with his cold blue scary eyes! One of the finest films you will see.

Really poor interpretation of the much beloved Fleming book. I was never a fan of Moore as the comical 50 something bond, sleeping around with 20 year old models!. How I missed Connery ! The film itself is a massive let downs, the parrot gives away the plot ! Worth a look,but a long way down the list of the bond franchise .Rodger Moore is FAR too old to play this character. Sadly the film can only be described as a typical 1980’s let down, the whole decade was plagued with poor bond versions.

An abomination

A dreadful waste of time spent watching this, a truly dire and dreary film, surely the producers should have pulled the plug?

I am a HH fan, I thought De Caprio caught him very well. I would have preferred to see more of HH eccentricities when he bought the Vegas hotel, just to stop being thrown out, then biting the hotel opposite to take down an annoying light ! Its a good watch

White heat is a throwback to the real old Hollywood!. An excellent cast, of Cagney,Mayo and O’Brien . Cagney is without doubt one of the finest actors, for such a small man , he has huge on screen presence . White heat , is classic a film as the title would suggest, in its day, it was deemed too violent. It’s an excellent gangster portrayal of a madman running a series of heists . A definite sociopath, he speaks the immortal words,’TOP OF THE WORLD MA!”, referring to the fact he is a mammas boy. This is a genuine 5 star film, with a hint of black comedy with Jarretts mood swings. Sit back and watch a legend at work, made quickly with a small budget, it’s a brilliant film, well worth a watch, it certainly stands the test of time.

One of my all time favourite films !. Gary old man at his peak , as a crazed mobster, on the brink of insanity and family loyalty. A very strong cast, a must watch, but tough to find !.

I can see why the music won an academy award. The acting may be amateur at times, but it’s fast paced, with beautiful scenery, when Prince rides through the clear blue, autumnal day, with , “take me with you”, playing, you can visualise being there!. Apollina is very beautiful as a leading lady, I suppose the violence against the females is trying to show the link being passed from father to son, but seems unnecessary. The one part that annoys me most is the ,”password is what” , part, who thought this was worthy to include?. Overall, it’s a great watch , but a better listen, his music steals the show. He most certainly is in the musical genius category, but this allows people to critique his acting more intensely, rather unfairly. The music wins hands down.

Living up to the first film was always a difficult task. But this movie stinks! I’m trying to think of something positive to say, but like the film I’m failing!. What an embarrassment ! A slap in the face to the first, Eddie Murphy didn’t sparkle, the characters were as old and tired as their faces, what a spectacular failure.

I’m a big Hardy fan, the first film, was , at best okay, so I wanted to see a better film. …I didn’t see a better film, this is one of the worst movies I have paid to see!. It just seemed very cheap! Why does Hardy make such drivel? In the first few minutes the film looked poor , it didn’t improve, fake American accents, weak storylines, incredibly poor wigs, poor acting. It was a disaster!. Avoid
