I started watching this on TBS or some network that usually plays "2 men and a baby" reruns all day. I knew I was going to be disappointed because it's 2024 and I've been hearing for years how stupid that movie is. However, I still was not prepared for how poorly written the story was. Or maybe just the screenplay and how they stitch the scenes together. The first thing we see is a young Diana running in some Olympic contest. . Of course, as the protagonist she comes so close to winning, but yet has her hopes dashed because she was untruthful and took a shortcut. This is where the hodgepodge of scenes begins. After that scene, we see people in Washington DC getting arrested. Does that remind you of something? Me too! It seems just like something that would happen at the beginning of a Batman movie, or Superman. I realize they all occupy the same world, but that doesn't mean their screenplay has to be just as shitty. So at the beginning of the movie, we don't know who the hell she is except her first name. We don't know how she got to DC out of her prehistoric magical land. We don't know why she has magic powers, or a laser lasso or whatever the hell that thing is. And then all of a sudden, the insinuations of being a mortal comes in or at least having a exceptionally long lifespan. All of this could've been cleared up with a little background information instead of showing this fantastic scene made from CGI of people doing impossible, physical stunts. But alas, the The point of the project was not to educate us about wonder, woman, or teach us about the comic, or anything really besides virtue signaling. As long as wonder, woman is an empowered, modern independent female, who resist the patriarchy has a male nemesis and also brings her boyfriend back from the debt. Unfortunately, you have to watch the whole movie. I imagine to make these connections get together. I could not do it. It was so terrible that I just had to stop.
On top of all that you have Kristen wig acting like she's still on Saturday Night Live. And Gal Gadot acting like she's an actress which she is not good at. Someday I'll look it up on a streaming service and be able to watch it in full without interruptions and see what the hell it's about. They do make the villains very easy to identify near the beginning of the movie when they all get magic wishes!. But instead of wishing for limitless, power, or some kind of thing like that, which is obviously what he desires, Maxwell instead of wishes to be the wishing stone! That way he can trick people in the making wishes that get him wealthy. Instead of just asking to be wealthy, throwing the thing in the ocean where nobody will ever find it again. I could go on for hours, but I won't because I have to go to work. This movie sucks. Do not watch it zero stars
