Interesting, but moved way to to slow for me.

What a wonderful adaptation of the great book by Charles Dickens The reason I didn't give it five stars is because John Mills was 38 years old playing a teenager which was a little offsetting to me. But other than that he did a great job of acting. It's just the age that really put me off. You could see it in his face.

In a nutshell Bold, Dark, and Disturbing sums it up accurately. I kept thinking about the parents of the children that are in this film, and what the children where required to say and act out. I know it's acting but come on.Why did they allow their kids to take this role. Especially the son. I doubt very highly this film would be able to be made today.... But who knows. Very disturbing and not funny, but shocking.

Great who done it with a ton of twists and turns.

Brilliant, beautiful, eerie at times, and a documentary not to be missed, especially if you are an art lover.

Everyone should watch this documentary

At two hours and twenty four minutes this was an extremely slow moving film, unnecessarily slow. I enjoyed the plot line, but found my mind wondering because of the slow pace, and fixated on how much chain smoking there was in this film. That's all I could concentrate on is cigarette after cigarette after cigarette it took away from the poignancy of an otherwise pretty good movie.

Absolutely beautiful movie. The story and acting are top notch. I loved this style of movie making. Just a great movie. Don't miss seeing it.

Oscar is worthy. Shot in black and white in the Amazon. Highly recommend.

A must watch film. Oscar nominated (well deserved) film that is based on real facts and experiences.
