Phil Frystak – Google

So I’m starting to lose faith in my fellow movie/TV watchers that would even begin to think that this travesty of a show can pass as entertainment. Unrealistic medical situations, horrible writing, cliché characters, preachy dialogue. I believe in suspending disbelief to try to enjoy a storyline as much as the next guy but I found that to be impossible with this show. Are we so easily amused that this kind of production gets a 4.6 rating and 90+% Rotten Tomatoes? The only Royal Pain I got was when I felt my brain cells dying as I watched the first episode.

While initially the plot of this show had potential, by the last episode of season 1 the writers jumped the shark so badly it was ridiculous. Like those cheesy horror movies where the victim chooses danger over safety. The theme of men ignoring women- especially clever or brilliant women is valid, though, so kudos to that. I suffered through season 1 but bailed after that. Sorry but I have higher standards for a mystery show.
