Erm .. 16 quid to look at CM's cheekbones n long eyelashes. Still don't know what's what or who was who, really. Emily Watson is mesmerisingly ice-cold as Mother Superior (is that what it's called?) Chilling you to the bone. It's a strange film, not much action, Cillian is wonderful as the depressive coal merchant, but l kept waiting for the crux of the matter. Even my review isn't saying much ! Basically, l'd go see it if you're a C Murphy fan, Emily Watson is superb, altho fleeting and be prepared to strain your ears to hear dialogue .. just sayin'

How these poor prisoners must have lived an excruciatingly fearful existance, with the nutters who ran the camps. It showed how degrading one person can be to another. I loved the actors and the fact it was a black and white film made it all the more harrowing. The end titles are an unusal and funny twist

Loved it. Costumes, cast all brought back memories. It couldn't ever be portrayed as horrific as it was because he abused hundreds of poor souls. Only criticism is Jimmy Savaloi had gross teeth. Steve Coogan's were too white. It could have been JS speaking, Coogan's voice was perfect. The scenes when the victims were being assaulted were phenomenal. Nothing at all graphic but the actors portrayed the horror beautifully. I binged watched and hope Steve C gets an award 👏

Really boring. Awful acting. I watched it because of the stunning looking female co star. Looked a bit like Cheryl Cole ! Lovely face. Beautiful hair. Nice clothes. Jo Joyner - oh em gee. Wooden, expressionless zzzzzzzzz
