I recently came to this series. Yes it can be slow in places but it all comes together very effectively at the end and makes good sense. Seemingly unrelated elements all make sense with the benefit of understanding the full picture. I agree the second season is even better than the first. It is intelligent and requires you to focus and think. It is well worth the investment of your time. If you want a stimulating cerebral evening, this is the series for you. If you are just looking for fast paced, shallow entertainment go elsewhere.
