Trite, derivative, predictable and heavy-handed. Far too many forgettable songs. The character development was so bad that I neither knew any of them by the end of the movie, nor cared what happened to them. It’s like the writers didn’t even try to do anything original. In fact, they seemed to go so far out of their way to give us the same old thing that the result was a bland disappointment. In college I was so poor that I ate cheap ramen for an entire year. Watching this movie felt like day 250-of that: the same bland thing with no end in sight, which no flavor packet could help. This movie had no such such flavor. If you haven’t seen this yet, do yourself a favor: don’t.
