In reference to "Little Women of L.A." first may I say that the show is very entertaining and dramatic. It portrays the life and friendships of the little women and their relationships with each other, their families and friends. The cast are totally fighting about one of the actresses Christie who made a semi sexy video in 2013 about being a midget and thereafter dissed another actress Tara about a movie that she was in a few years later that had the word midget in the title of the movie. Neither of the actresses want to be held accountable for using the word "midget" which is offensive to little people. But when I looked up the word online it actually does not depict little people who have dwarfism. from Google: Traditionally, the term “dwarf” was used to describe individuals with disproportions of body and limb, while “midget” referred to those of reduced stature but normal proportions; today neither word is used, and “little people” has become the preferred term for persons with extreme growth retardation. Since the little people on the show fall into the first category of dwarf (which is no longer preferred) as stated above, and their stature does not fall into the category of "midget" because of their body proportions are like those of dwarfs, they are totally fighting about a misnomer on the show. Gotta love Hollywood!
