I think the show is very promising. The writers and the actors will need time to develop the characters and story as time goes on. They do need to realize that NCIS watchers who have watched every show since it first come on, will be looking for mistakes in location and behavior, and write to that. Gibbs is a TV icon, and needs to be treated as a person closely watched. he has not shown all his characteristics in every episode in the past, and should not be expected to now. he has to develop. The characters we liked right off, were those that played off and on and in short bursts. And they did a good job. If Mark's own son could not commit to the show, we have to accept another actor doing the best job anyone can. I think he did a good job, and will grow with the part in the future. I'm happy to have something to watch that has so much character and someone to root for.
