Hey, I know people are saying the people who voted 5 stars don't know what they are talking about, and I understand that people are free to have their own opinions but this movie really had an impact on the way I perceived things as a young woman myself. The way that Elisabeth was slapping herself over and over again just to get her to stop switching back to her younger self but she kept on doing it over and over again because of the feeling. This can be applied to so many real life scenarios. People who are saying the movie lost its spark because of the gross sounds and gore, first of all, this is a BODY HORROR movie, it's not all sunshine and rainbows, what do you expect a horror movie to do? It's purposely supposed to make you feel UNCOMFORTABLE. if it's not your cup of tea then don't watch body horror movies? On another note, I believe that most young women such as myself would connect to this in a way that much people won't notice, especially with the insecurities Elisabeth has, it completely changed my life and taught me to be grateful for what I have and not to go ahead and chase beauty just because I won't be idolised the same way I am now. The last part of the movie that everyone was saying was "rushed" and "thrown together" is completely incorrect in my opinion, I believe that the reason why they made it end that way is to show how extreme and grotesque such a simple act of "beauty" is and how far women nowadays would go to achieve such young beauty. I couldn't perceive any other way that this would've ended without it not adding to the morals of the story.
