Very endearing coming of age story during the occupation of Imperial Japan at the time of the 21 Demands treaty, which was a significant event that led to the socialist movement and eventually communism in China. The story revolves around many young people in the military school, one of whom is a female trying to fulfill her dead brother's wish and gain understanding of his dreams. This is so much more than a romantic comedy. I want to say romance isn't even a main plot. This is one of those stories that will leave an impression for some time.
