I just want to start off with saying I absolutely LOVED this movie and would watch it again and again. I went to the theaters to see it and got to watch it in 4-d which was amazing! We felt the wind, sea spray, and swerved with the movement of the waves and sea. My favorite part was definitely the music. Halle has a beautiful voice and sang Part of Your World beautifully. She also gets a new song which is super cute. Eric gets his own song which I was super excited abut and I can't stop listening to it - it is so good! His voice is amazing and the song is touching. Scuttle and Sebastian have a new song together - it is kind of cheesy but also cute. My mom loved it. Ursula and her song very comparable to the original animated movie. Kiss the Girl is done really well - the music is good and it has fun scenes. I liked the movie a lot and would definitely recommend it. I missed Ariel having deeper red hair, but overall I think Halle did an amazing job as Ariel. She was so cute and seemed so young and innocent. She was curious and fun. Eric was strong, brave, determined, and very handsome. It was fun hearing a background story for him. Ariel's family was a little interesting - her sisters looked like all different ethnicities but it kind of made sense since they were ruler the seven different seas and they all looked like they belonged to the sea they ruled. Ariel's dad was strict but you could tell that he loved her deeply and he sacrificed his life for her. Flounder was cute, but I would have enjoyed him having more lines. The whole movie was done really well and it was a privilege to watch. My favorite songs were Eric's new song and Part of Your World. There are lots of fun new parts in the movie which make it exciting and different. 10/10 would recommend.
