As a lifelong Transformers fan, I cannot recommend EarthSpark enough. Instead of those corny catch phrases like "fun for the whole family" statements, I mean it in earnest: it's a cute show for kids about family (and found family), but it's also full of references and easter eggs from the original that older fans can enjoy, and some homages to the comics for those of us who are more deeply entrenched in the lore.
The animation style incorporates both 2D and 3D animation (where the environments and characters are 3D, but the effects are 2D), and has some of the coolest fight choreography I've seen in a cartoon. It's fun, it's fresh, the characters are quirky, and it's the kind of silly I expect from a show about transforming robots.
(Also, this is one of the first Transformers shows where I genuinely enjoy the human cast! They're all wonderful, I wish Alex Malto was MY dad too!)
