I'm in the middle of watching the series. Like others, I can't get a handle on how old the "boy" is. I really enjoy Al Pacino but can think of others who would have brought gravitas to the role. And what is this with the language! The victims of he Holocaust would have called their Grandmother Bubbe (Yiddish) not Safta (Hebrew)! I'm surprised the wonderful actress Carol Kane didn't point that out. I think she is the best of the cast. I know this is high camp with stereotypical characters but I do think the producers need to stop straddling the line and find a lane, either be serious or all camp.
