I wish I had not watched this. It is intriguing only in that she is telling a story and you want to know the ending. The abortion scene is hard to watch and you wonder why she is so crazy that she can't wait a couple of days instead of enduring incredible pain. The trauma in her life does not warrant the mental instability. Many people experience the same type of traumas and they are sexual early on but do not become nymphomaniacs. There are many question left. Why did Jerome change his character in the end? He was never violent before. Why did Selig want to have sex with her if he was asexual? Being numb emotionally does not numb you physically, what was the cause of her sexual dysfunction and why didn't she got to a medical doctor? The movie seems disingenuous.
