I am Pilgrim was one of the best books I have ever read. I was annoyed at how long we all had to wait for the next book. My son read Locust first and said it was so bad he didn’t believe it was written by the same author. I read the first half and thought it was ok but nothing special. Then I reached the chapter that many people mention and nearly threw the book across the room. What on earth was Hayes, ( or the imposter) thinking. Total style/genre change, did he give up and hand it over to a silly teenager. Ridiculous garbage. I can’t believe I waited nine years for this rubbish. Without doubt this book is the biggest disappointment I’ve ever experienced in my literary journey. If you haven’t read it yet, do yourself a favour and leave it alone, and just remember I am Pilgrim as a really good thriller.
