I really enjoyed this book. I love a murder mystery and for a Sunday on a rainy day it was perfect. Characterisation well thought out. Liked the flow and dialogue. Plot too.
Only thing that drove me nuts was I’d be right into the story. Immersed. Then the author (a trick pulled too many times so became irritating) would say ‘an observer might note’ and would bring you crashing back to reality. No need for this type of musing. Just ruins it for reader who has suspended disbelief so doesn’t need a musing about how an observer might be wrong etc. minor but hope author gets rid of that.
