Jalsa is an intense human drama with the elements of thrills. It talks about several aspects of the world. The fragility and vulnerability of human behaviour and life is presented in a very subtle but powerful way. It detects all the complexities of human emotions of guilt, remorse, pain, anger and corruption.
Maya Menan, a high profile journalist played by Vidya Balan is a woman with absolute confidence and ethics. But one incident changes it all. The way she tries to hide the real truth beneath her silence with that deep guilt wrenching her from within can give chills to your spine.
On the other hand, Ruksana, Maya's cook played by Shefali Shah is a women with simplicity and a beautiful heart. Her pure bond with Ayush, her battle with financial lure and her pain and anger is greatly portrayed. It will definitely touch your heart.
Overall, Jalsa is a great human drama with elements of thrills and a lot emotions. The supporting cast has done a really nice job. The locations and the background scores are rightly chosen which helps in understanding of the characters and developing the right mood. And as always, Shefali Shah and Vidya Balan have given stellar performances.
Jalas is a must watch. Available only on Amazon Prime.
