One of the rarest off beat movies you get to see in Tamil cinema...
I've always wondered how only Hollywood movies despite complicating things from the beginning during the narration manages to create a sense of suspense & curiosity via screenplay.
Finally now I get to see Andhaghaaram following similar pattern and is one of those films where you tend to get confused and don't know what's going on yet feel curious to get glued to it and that is the biggest success of a debut director- Kudos to V.Vignarajan
A supernatural thriller without VFX, without loud noises, without any of the usual so called templates follows a non-linear narrative with different timelines which expectedly confuses the viewer, But the screenplay is engaging enough to wait for things to unravel.
Almost all characters get good screen time and performs well, ArjunDas of Kaithi fame shows his might and Pooja ramachandran Shines. A film nearly 3 hrs feels long , could have ben cut short but understandably its difficult to shorten a film of this sort.
If you are a vivid movie lover, patient enough to see lengthy films this one is Perfect for you--Go grab a popcorn!
