Overall this movie feels like a mess of homages to other movies that just made me wish I was watching something else. Most of the characters were unlikable, except for the cat, and it makes you wish they all die in horrendous and gruesome fashion but it never comes. It was enjoyable to look at with excellent cinematography but was lacking in the special effects. It also had some of the most cliche finals girls I've seen in a horror movie, a pregnant lady and child. It's such a far cry from what I love about the original evil dead and even the remake. Another good thing I can say is that it elicited strong responses and emotions from its audience, not entirely good sadly.
