This is just gross far-right conservative christian propaganda (which in itself is vomitous enough). But more importantly, this "horror" movie is not scary, not entertaining, very predictable, and with plot holes so obvious a 4th grader could point them out. The exit door at the end summarizes the movie perfectly: number 2.

While the acting and the gore are good, everything else (storyline, script characters) is just underdeveloped, lazy and predictable (i.e. not scary). All the main characters doing all the stupid things they KNOW they aren't supposed to do, and being short-sighted, hysterical jerks makes them quite unlikable. Also, a little framework to statements like "god and the church are dead" or "evil likes children and children like evil" would have been nice. All in all, it's a wasted hour and fourty minutes of my life that I'm never getting back.

First of all, this movie has nothing to do with the original leprechaun movies. I could have forgiven that if it had turned out good and scary, with an actual storyline, but nooo. It had a terrible plot, with a jumble of predictable horror movie tropes and clichés. All of it compounded with meh to downright bad acting. It was so bad, I was rooting for the monster. I got some satisfaction there as most of the characters did die stupid deaths. Don't watch it.
