Me and my mum watched Paddington 3 yesterday, these are my opinions (spoiler warning)
So first of all, the new actress for Mrs. Brown, I like the old one better it just didn't feel right, not just for me but my mum also liked the old one more. It was kind of a shame that the old actress wasn't in this movie:(
Roughly at the the end was a very emotional part, I cried more than my mum. Anyways I couldn't really fully connect to that scene because Mrs. Brown is played by another actress on the movie and like I said it just felt a bit off and I couldn't fully connect to that scene (probably one of the best scenes that made me give this movie 2 stars instead of 1)
Second of all, the movie had a pretty basic "jungle adventure story" vibe to it. It just didn't really feel right, and the father that had the curse was also unnecessary, this is my personal opinion I don't think magic stuff really suits to Paddington.
I think the father that was trying to search for El Dorado (however you spell it sorry) could have been a good villain not really the nun, a twist villain doesn't really always equal a good villain.
Me and my mum found the nun character pretty funny, but it felt kinda out of nowhere that it turns out she's the villain.
It felt like too much was happening but at the same time it felt like nothing was really happening in the movie.
Me and my mum where kinda the only people laughing in the cinema, TBH some of the jokes weren't that funny like in the 1st and 2nd movie. But I kinda found the American boss a bit funny.
Paddington 3 just hasn't got the charm like the 1st and 2nd movie have, kinda disappointed. In compared to the first movie the 3rd movie is kinda trash. Overall a 6.5/10 or less. Hope this helped you.
