I am writing the review I wish I have read before buying and reading this book. The story is very nice and interesting, the plot and the turn of events keeps you thirsty to know what is going to happen next. However, this book would have gotten a 5 stars review from me if it was maybe 150 - 200 pages maximum. The writer kept going on and on about - in my opinion- unnecessary details, it felt like he wanted to show off his knowledge about the Russian intelligence! Which was ok for a chapter or two to highlight Elena's background, but it got to a point where it was plain boring. Same with Cassie's background, he kept going on and on about her drinking problem, we get it she was an irresponsible drunk, but there was so much repetition that I honestly lost interest, and I had to force myself to finish it, just because I can't put a book down without finishing it. And that's my two cents; nice story but could be written in half the number of pages.
