Lauren the scarecrow

I'm honestly not sure why everyone keeps praising this series so highly. I barely slogged through one episode. I understand that shows like this might not have the best of budgets starting out, but I found it rather boring and soooooo sloooow. I don't understand how my mother is able to binge this show, there are time where some of the acting is almost laughable, it's mostly from one off's it seems, but it shouldn't be from people we're supposed to care about in the least. The plot is incredibly predictable, it feels like there are no real stakes almost for the protagonist. I understand creating a series from a novel can be a difficult task, especially for the underpaid and underappreciated writers at Netflix, but the predictability if what really made this a bore for me.
