The start was good building expectations of a spectacular series but as the season progressed there were elements which didn't make sense, were redundant and didn't serve any purpose. The jail sequence had no bearing on the judgement and hence on the story. Jackie shroff's character was wasted. Undue importance and time was given to characters and plot. The entire sequence of the sisters divorce, the recovery agents, sundar etc. was of no relevance. The last episode was done in haste. Everything collapsed in the last 15 mins making me wonder is that it?

A movie with a good social cause doesn't always translate to a good movie. Let's be realistic it's a commercial movie made for profit. The acid attack victims don't benefit from the profits made by the actors, producers, directors, and so the movie should be reviewed on the bench marks of any other commercial movie. The movie was so slow I could hear yawns from the people sitting close to me at the theatre. I could also hear the claps from the people sitting in the adjacent screen watching Tanhaji. Deepika's acting was mediocre just like any of her other movies. The direction was above average. The story line couple have emphasized more on the cause rathee than a single victim. If you are in a mood to watch a documentary then go ahead. If you expect entertainment then you absolutely dont go. I regret not putting my time and money to watch Tanhaji.

Under rated movie. John has been a terrible actor but he excels in this movie. He should do more of such movies rather than House full types. The movie is slow in the initial parts that must have caused the viewers to switch away the channel. The second half is exciting and a revelation of the nexus between the media, politicians and some section of the society. National security is sent to the thrash to appease a section of the society which is a dangerous trend. Hats off to the team to show the truth.
