Beautifully done, stayed as true to the book as the constraints writing for television allowed. Mathew Shardlake walked from the pages of my book into my sitting room via the TV. Now I wait in the hope those in charge adapt the next book in the series. Brilliant, atmospheric and gripping, I loved it.
