The ending was awful. I have loved all of Natasha's book up until last week, when I read the Fear, and it had a terrible ending. THEN I read the Twin, which also had a terrible ending. Maybe it's just me but I want some justice or a happy ending. Letting the bad guy win in the last two of her books has dissuaded me from reading anymore.
If you must read one of her books, go for the cellar or the lake. Those at least have happy endings.
