I thought it was done well. I saw Cats at the Wintergarden Theater around 1989. Nothing compares to a live broadway show. Andrew Lloyd Webber's music has always been great. Some of the acting was good, some not so.

I love the show. I especially like episode 13 Ronny/lily I am pretty sure I heard Bloodstock playing as the guy pulls into the driveway during the opening scene. Am I correct?
