The Rus costumes looked like they were those of Podkarpackie, north of the Carpathians in Poland, which even then was supposedly distinct from the Rus (Lech, Czech and Rus’). In the 800s Poland wasn’t officially christianized yet… not until Saint-King Jadwiga hundreds of years later. Were the slaves from Ireland supposed to be the ones called Christians? Why did the slaves sleep in bunk beds rather than on dirt floors? How much wood was imported to Iceland for construction in the 800s? Shouldn’t the architecture be earthen? Oh well, the actors were really hot!
