Better than the first Smile film, in my opinion. Naomi Scott's acting was very convincing!

If I had to describe this movie in one word: Boring. Nicholas Cage's acting is horrible (always is, not sure why I thought this one would be any different). Not really sure what the movie is about since it lost me multiple times throughout. The female lead/detective was so stoic it was extremely difficult to sympathize with her. Good idea/plot and concept, but poorly executed acting and pacing wise. Overall, was left wanting more since this movie was so highly "praised" - I can't help but use the word "overhyped" or "overrated" here.

I like this movie! Although it is a bit slow, it really is worth a watch. As a female, I can definitely relate to the unease that this movie portrays.

**TW: SA!!** Cannot bring myself to rate any higher than a 3 star. That's just my opinion. Overall, this movie was not bad in that it captured the bigotry associated with white supremacy/extremism well; although, it was very disturbing and made me uncomfortable at some points, especially with some of the slurs and vocabulary used when describing people of color/different ethnicities. The SA scene is not for all viewers so please proceed with caution if you want to see this movie.
