Seriously disappointed by series 6. The lack of any proper continuity from series 5 is a small point but from this failing bigger issues grow. 1, Kate should either have left AC 12 and departed from the series or remained. Continuing as a ‘loyalty confused cop’ in another department might have worked for one episode but by the end of episode 2 there was no justification for her character. 2. The subplot of a senior female officer being in a LGBTQ relationship is such an old cliche that the writer should be shot for total lack of understanding of the modern police force... in case it has not occurred to anyone not only is the current Commissioner of the Met in a same sex relationship several other senior police officers are also known to be in open same sex relationships. 3. To be honest I could continue to list the faults but the basic problem is that for 5 series each episode moved with pace and followed a plot that made sence with excellent acting from the 3 main characters supported by some out standing performance from the supporting cast. Series 6 has placed 2 of the lead actors into ridiculously untenable roles while leaving their boss looking totally pathetic. The new plot is poor, with an ACC who is utterly wooden, a chef suspect who lacks any credibility and almost nothing connects to the Drama Series that I had once considered a highlight of the week and was seriously looking forward to seeing return. Well thanks BBC but you have yet again destroyed a wonderful programme. I really no longer care who is or is not H.

The new set and new presenter are very poor. Amol Rajan is reading the questions from a cheep looking box. He reads far too quickly and is monosyllabic. He gives the impression of one who has no interest in the questions, answers or the contestants. He is only there to collect his cheque. There are many established Oxbridge graduates who have a proven track record for engaging intelligent and engaging presentation skills. Hopefully Amol Rajan is a temporary appointment for I will not be able to continue watching this much loved program if he remains.
