I suggest you go on You Tube and watch the original 1947 production which has survived in surprisingly wonderful condition. This production, faithful to writer Rumer Godden's book, has David Farrar as believeable dangerous object of all the nuns' interest whereas current version looks like an episode of Holby City with nurses doubling as nuns.

Very glossy superb costumes and settings. Too woke, no effort to appear historically correct but not as bad as The Favourite as with The Crown should include a disclaimer "This is a fictional historical rendition:"
