These games are ambitious, there are a lot of good ideas on display here, and the story is much improved over Sword and shield's lack of story. These could have been the best games in the series, if they didn't run so poorly. They desperately needs more time in development and it shows. I can't give it any higher than a 3 because of this, especially when other, larger, switch titles run far better. Do better next time, gamefreak.
