Bidders are clueless about the background & value of many items they bid on, despite being "avid collectors" or "experts" in those areas. They always bid lowball values. Its disrespectful for the people who have brought items and I feel second hand embarrassment/disappointment for them. Bidders start bidding (super low) and then back out saying "it's not really my thing anyway", so why even bid?! The Bidding panel have sometimes mentioned that they have "high end clientele" but also say they can't bid over double digits because they can't sell it on at a higher price. Yet items clearly worth 3 - 4 figures, they're still bidding double figures. The show needs to bring in bidders of a higher calibre, people who know their stuff, are genuine experts, with deeper pockets.
