This and all episodes of "Sanford and Son" were groundbreaking! Although it may have been adapted from "Steptoe and Son" Redd Foxx and Demond Wilson led the way (as the lead characters) for other comedians such as: LaWanda Page, Whitman Mayo, Scatman Crothers, and Pat Morita and others. Now, of course, Mr. Wilson was much younger than Ms. Page and Mr. Mayo, Crothers. and others; however, his part as co-lead (under Mr. Foxx) gave work and notoriety for the other actors for television during the 70's!
