I didn't read the book, for starters, I only just finished watching the movie. I have to admit, this movie had me on edge the entire time. It was a great movie with a fantastic concept. But, the reason why I don't love it completely is because of the lack of emotion. I just didn't feel anything special, just felt like an average sci-fi movie. I've read several other comments stating that n the book, he, ( yes I forgot his name already ), was much more obese and battled acne. The book showed how he battled poverty and relied on the easter egg to save him from poverty. I feel like if the movie emphasized more on the desperation of his needs, the movie would have felt much more emotionally impactful. But over all, great graphics, a fantastic concept, and a good movie. 4/5 stars
