I loved reading the book. But i could not figure out its ending. Did he die? Or was he confused about who he was, not knowing whether to stay in paris with his jewish maternal family, or back to cairo alone ? Maybe to his uncle who wasnt close to him. He was tormented not knowing what his real identity was.
