I have read the first book of the series and now reading "More Than This", the second book. I was introduced to The Davenports by my future Mother in Love who says she noticed the title and quickly read the summary of the book and it lead her to buy the series. It reminds her of her own family as they are the Davenports with 3 sisters, a father named John Davenport whom she admires and she shares similar memories of the each character in the book. This peeked my interest as I listened to her share her description and thoughts of the book. Now I am hooked. I will take my time to savior each character and pay attention to how she endures her dramatic challenges during this time in history. I love how the author takes us back in time to find more reasons why we should fight for love in our relationships and not settle while we continue to embrace women's equality in the world.
