I was hoping for smart humor. Intelligent satire, but it is no different the other coming-of-age, graduation movies. I think the 80's version are far superior in dialogue, timing, and story continuity. There were sparks but for the better part of the movie I wanted to "turn it off" but I hoped it would get better. Nope.
