Clearly all of you giving the movie one star haven't read the book. Snow was evil from the start and this was explained in the book. He was self centered and self absorbed. He never loved Lucy Gray, he wanted to control her because he recognized her power and that's what he wanted: power, not Lucy. For everyone complaining about the singing: why are you upset there's music in a movie called the BALLAD of SONGbirds and snakes? Literacy is clearly a dying art. There was a lot of integral parts missing, but this was a wonderful movie and I highly recommend it. Please read the book before you review the movie.
