I don't know what this film did to this Johnny guy at the New York post, but he's like every critic who rates this movie as bad. Does this film really insult anyone on a terrible level??? Hahaha. No way. At the very worst it's a sweet movie with some funny moments. They simply can't connect. Those that can will see it's genius right away. I felt it to be so heartwarming and relatable. Rarely does a movie give me tears of connection and joy at the end. You have the realistic critics who match the therapist in the movie that only see her problems from such a simplistic superficial level, it drives you insane how small they think. And then you have the creative audience who match Mr. Fishbourne who can cut deep to the root of the problem and say "get your ass out there and create." I think it's just a problem of relating to the movie depending on your makeup and identity as a creator in anything. Those who don't have the natural ability to be creative will wage war against the movie. Those who realise the struggle of leeches and haters slowly tearing down a creative genius will clap and cheer from the bottom of their hearts. Which one are you? ;)
