I can’t get enough of this book! Less a whimsical illustration of ancient civilization, perhaps more so a detailed rendering of our founding fathers’ and friends scrapes with these likely Hopewell and Adena earthworks, but then again I’m only halfway through! Hidden Cities provides clues to further research and gives readers intimate context to expound imaginatively upon the mysteries of the people who once inhabited the continent presently known as North America, hinting at the relationship settlers had with more contemporary native peoples. A fascinating read and a great resource.
