This is the most backward movie iv watched im a long time. Although the concept was good, the level of male chauvinism in the movie is beyond ridiculous. Which world are these people living in? Have south filmmakers stopped going to school? And this pathetic film maker has the Audacity to announce a sequel. I am nauseous. Spoiler ahead. Anyways women please read it's not worth watching. The movie banks on the idea that it's okay for a man to sacrifice his wife to the devil if she has had s*x before marriage. The only reason he feels repentance is when she reminds him that she bled during their first night together and that she is now pregnant. Do these backward citizens still believe virginity test is by bleeding?

Series is engaging but could be much better if they reduce over the top unnecessarily prolonged intimate scenes . I get that they're trying to portray all kind of minorities(gays, trans) but you can't show them as extremely desperate people only living for s*x. It's insulting. Also found over the top activism in radhika apte episode , cringey. I mean if you want to portray the negative side of casteism, maybe educate yourselves on the negatives of reservations. Good take on polygamy.

The 2 stars are for the actors only. This movie is a disgrace to every woman who tries to hold the family together. It doesn't explore what she has to go through. It seems to be made by some self absorbed old man who fails to see the point of view and the problems a daughter in law has to face in a household while living with in laws and their son who fail to see each others' mistakes and passive aggressively blame the daughter in law. The writer and director of this movie should stop making movies and spare everyone more torture during covid times.

While the content of this movie was good, there was so much potential for it to be GREAT. But it ended up being an incompletely made movie. Spoilers ahead* I felt that the lead character Sasha who was supposed to be the epitome of strong, successful, liberated woman, just behaved like an embittered privileged b*&ch. She felt it was her birthright to insult n pass judgements on another woman that she met 5 minutes ago just because she was totally unlike her. Also in a bid to reach a happy ending,no one showed how the father changed his mind so quickly and everything magically fell into place for the family within like the last 10mins of the movie . Too many loose ends.

I think the director and editor should get awards for making every actor act bad and unintentionally look funny. The most annoying character was mahie gill, I couldn't stop wondering why she couldn't open her mouth to talk properly.. it was like her jaws were glued together. I think bhumi pednekar and arshad warsi have acted well but overall the direction and editing has made this a comedy movie which is not even that funny. Watch this movie with friends for a good laugh.
