Imperfect, but thoroughly enjoyable.
Characters had a lot of depth and were never just "good or bad", acting was really good (especially from the protagonist) and they weren't afraid to kill off likable characters. There were some secondary plot lines I could have done without, but overall I'll be genuinely upset at Netflix if we don't get a season 2.
I was also pleased at the lack of modern politics in the show. There was a lot of diversity that showcased people of different walks of life just getting along and working together. Its a very stark contrast to a lot of modern shows that take jabs at one group or another. I walked out of episode 10 loving characters I never knew I would.
