After watching it, I can see the message that the director was trying to send. There is something important that needs to be said about sexualizing of young women (or in this case, girls). The film sends a strong and necessary message but it should have been done better. No 11 year old actress should have never been asked to do any of those things. A movie that is rated MA should not have a child as the protagonist. This was way more visual than I expected, and it can be easily found by pedophiles. It is way too accessible. What if a young girl saw this and was impressed? She may want to mimic the behavior. Netflix is the wrong platform for this, and it could have been a book. Disappointed.
