Marketa Hoppova

This movie was painful to watch, I could not quite decide if it was bad directing or editing. There were simply too many badly done close-up & mid shots, not enough of wide or ext. wide shots. This imbalance is noticeable, especially when you consider extreme changes between the shots to the extend it hurts viewers eyes. The movie does not flow and compare it LOTR is ridiculous. Angles of camera were plainly boring and the lighting with Jude in it just forgettable. CGI was not tasteful and to top it up the script was scattered, not clever enough. I wish, Guy would go over basics of good directing or leave the job to professionals. Having too much of ego and no humility is hurting the art of cinema.
